Going Five....

I know its been quite a while since I have updated...been kinda busy :) We have been traveling and practicing non stop and we finally have a weekend off. We are now sitting at 5-4 in Conference with two big wins this week over LeTourneau and Mississippi College.

We have now played in seven 5 set matches this season. I am not sure why this seems to be the norm, but its driving us crazy!!!

Even with the wins we have a lot of work to do to finish out the season strong and get into the Conference Tournament. We are back home Tuesday night against UT-Tyler in another big game for us.

Our schedule for next weekend in Kerrville is:

Friday October 15th

ETBU vs Schreiner 7:00 PM

Saturday October 16th

ETBU vs Howard Payne 12:00
ETBU vs SRSU 2:30

Also, thank you to everyone that comes out to support the Tigers. We have had some great crowds at home this year and also on the road..hope to see you all Tuesday!

First week update!

We are getting closer to the first game of our 2010 season and I just wanted to give a quick update on how things have been going. We have been busy with practice and various team bonding events. I have to say this has probably been the best first week of practice we have had in our 5 years at ETBU. I have never seen a group of kids come in with a better attitude and commitment to what we are trying to accomplish than this team. Every player on the team has been terrific in practice and it's definitely given us some tough decisions going into next week. We still have quite a bit of work left to do to get ready for our season opener, but we are definitely happy with the way things have started!

A special thanks to everyone that has been involved with our team bonding events. We appreciate it!!!
